When we first moved into this lovely old house in York it was all a bit of a rush, i really really love the house but oh my, that garden of ours isn't really ideal for a little toddler (we're on the lookout for somewhere new with a whole heap of grass in it). Today was the first sunny day we've had in ages and also the most fun filled day too. With a simple box of coloured chalks we created a magic little garden for us to play in. I picked up the pretty canopy from a charity shop for only £5, i think ikea still do them ;)

It's a merry, jolly space with all that colour and Charlie certainly doesn't look as though he's yearning for grass.
ah thanks Mise that makes me feel better! Yep he's happy bouncing about there alright now that he's good on his wee feet ;)
Great way to make use of what you do have Tanya : ) We had a grassy bit at the back of the cottage I was in when my son was Charlie's age but I used to put big cushions and throws out the front on the stoney bit because it was sunnier and it seemed to be more fun making it all cosy and setting up games and stuff. Love your drawings and that canopy : )
Oh my goodness, I can't believe how big your baby is already! What a cutie, and I must say, I adore the crown :) Lovely chalk drawings too, by the way!
