dancing in the sunshine ;)

The leaves dance merrily to the sound of the Clash!
Check out my earlier how-to if you fancy having a go at making your own leaf mobile out of fabric scrap and felt. I hope you're all having a fantastic summer wherever you are! :)

Hey Doodle doodle!

I've finally got my act together and designed this fun new pdf project, yay for me!

It's called 'Blooming Bunting' and its the first in my series of arts projects primarily aimed at creative young uns!  The bunting is very simple and easy to make with clear instructions (I've had it tested beforehand just to make sure it all works as it should). There are many ways to use the floral motifs in this pack and the great thing is that you can have total control when it comes to colour scheme, be as tasteful or as zany as you wish!. Use watercolours, markers, crayon, pencils... the choice is yours. The artwork is all my own, having been originally hand drawn with black ink. There are ten floral motifs to choose from and each has its own quirky look. I've also included a little bunch of funky butterflies to flutter here and there.

I've set the price real low so everyone can have the opportunity to make their own blooming bunting - the perfect project for a rainy day! Its available as an instant download which means that you don't have to wait hours before getting the file.  Just pop on into my shop for more details, and If you have any queries be sure to get in touch! I'd love to help :)

time to bloom! ;)

This past week has been a little crazy! Been potty training Charlie for the last 5 weeks, everything was going well until Monday when he decided that going to the potty wasn't really that much fun after all. He's now telling me that he's too little for pants, bless him! So in between major squealy tantrums and little accidents, I've been keeping myself sane drawing flowers. Thank goodness for art! Pop on over to my facebook page www.facebook.com/tanyamacart  if you haven't already, you'll see my finished piece 'time to bloom' which you can download and print for your own personal enjoyment. Would love it if you could 'like' the page, and i'll do my best to 'like' you back ;)

who needs grass anyway! ;)*

When we first moved into this lovely old house in York it was all a bit of a rush, i really really love the house but oh my, that garden of ours isn't really ideal for a little toddler (we're on the lookout for somewhere new with a whole heap of grass in it). Today was the first sunny day we've had in ages and also the most fun filled day too. With a simple box of coloured chalks we created a magic little garden for us to play in. I picked up the pretty canopy from a charity shop for only £5, i think ikea still do them ;)
